Our analysis
What makes this different from every other Hikma in-licensing deal
Hikma's tracker footprint is biosimilars and branded generics (Junshi, Celltrion, Bio-Thera). This is neither — it's an FDA-cleared medical device built on marine biotechnology (fish-derived lipids and peptides), not a molecule. OCM's mechanism is triple-action — reduces inflammation, disrupts bacterial biofilm, supports tissue regeneration — positioned as a cheaper alternative to skin grafts and cellular/tissue-based advanced wound products.
So Hikma is licensing a novel technology class it doesn't already make , not adding another biosimilar to a familiar line.
