Why this matters
Al Ittihad Drug Store (IDS) and Galenicum have signed a strategic partnership to expand Galenicum's product portfolio in the UAE market. Galenicum is also launching its UAE operations through a Scientific Office. Products, therapy areas, exclusivity and financial terms have not been disclosed.
The deal fills the commercial gap in a UAE strategy that Galenicum has built in stages. In June 2026, it signed with ADCAN Pharma to have selected products manufactured locally and batch-released in the UAE. The IDS agreement now adds distribution and market access, and the Scientific Office gives Galenicum its own presence on the ground. Our reading: the company is setting up a local manufacturing, distribution and promotion model rather than relying on an importer alone.
