Why this matters
Sothema announced on 28 October 2026 that it has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of Ramo Pharm, a Casablanca-based company that develops and markets dietary supplements through Moroccan pharmacies. Its brands include Enrouex, ZENmag, Toudex, Hivernex, CD Zinc and Matervit, covering ear, nose and throat care, immunity, stress and sleep, and women's health. The deal still needs the usual approvals, including from Morocco's Competition Council. The price was not disclosed.
The acquisition fits a strategy Sothema has now made explicit: organising the group around four areas, which are general medicine and chronic care, specialty products, dialysis solutions, and wellness and consumer health. Supplements sold through pharmacies have higher margins and are less exposed to price regulation than prescription generics, and Moroccan pharmacies remain the main channel for them. It follows Sothema's 2025 acquisition of dialysis specialist Soludia Maghreb.
