Why this matters
Twelve partnership agreements were signed between Algerian laboratories and laboratories from Tunisia, Mauritania and Jordan at Pharmex-2026, the 10th pharmacy and parapharmacy fair in Oran, which closed on 24 October 2026. According to the event commissioner, quoted by Algeria's APS news agency, the agreements aim to strengthen cooperation and develop joint projects in pharmacy and parapharmacy. The individual signatories, products and financial terms were not published.
The fair drew more than 100 exhibitors and over 3,500 visitors, about 80% of them professionals. The agreements follow a broader 2026 push by Algeria to export finished products and raw materials to neighbouring markets, especially Tunisia.
